My Story

"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval.
Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly
explains the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15 NLT

Thank you so much for being here. You have the ability to make your life amazing and ultimately take control of your own happiness inside and out. My passion is to assist you along your journey.

I am an NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a degree in Bible.

The desire for my personal brand at and coaching began years ago. I have been an athlete and fitness enthusiast pretty much my whole life. After my basketball career ended with back injuries in college I didn’t know what was next and it took years for me to figure it out.

First, I found Jesus… for myself! My desire to know more about God and the Bible came in my 20s. At the same time, in my body I was working through pain, frustrations, weight gain, unhealthy weight loss, self-esteem issues, body image struggles, and everything else that follows.

Then I found some direction. In 2008 I kicked up my own experiment with my discipline. With the urging of a couple people in the industry I did it: I strutted across the stage in that sparkly suit and clear high heels.

Where am I now?
I love my life! I am so focused on Jesus and His purpose for me. I dream of helping others find their confidence in themselves through Him. I have created a healthy lifestyle for me that I can maintain. My workout regimen and my eating are not extremely strict nor extremely perfect, which makes them maintainable for me in my life.

I enjoy the power of at-home workouts with little or no equipment. I strive to find ways to exercise with what I have and teach others the same. If all I have is 15 minutes and I’m barefoot, you better believe when that timer goes I will be dripping sweat and sit down in my living room proud of my accomplishment!

My passion lies in coaching others in the areas of fitness, nutrition, mindset, and Jesus, which I do via my online coaching and in-person training.

Just for fun, a few things you may not know about me...

  • I’m 6’ tall. My Dad is 6’8 and my brother over 6’11.
  • I love the Word of God (ok you probably knew that), and have a dream of publishing a book. I was one of seven authors to attend the American Christian Writers Association retreat in 2014. Writing this now puts me on the hook to finish the book and get it to you!
  • Growing up in Canada, I played every sport (with the boys). In elementary school, I was the Captain of the hockey team, MVP of most tournaments, and had lightning bolts shaved in the sides of my hair and my hockey number shaved in the back. Thank you 1980s!
  • I love a good reality TV series. Teen Mom, Jersey Shore, Married at First Sight, Catfish… you know the kind!
  • I moved to Arizona for my junior and senior years of High School just to further my basketball dreams
  • I played basketball in college at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan Canada. In 2001 we were National Champions and are now in the Sports Hall of Fame.
  • I have scoliosis. For real scoliosis. I wore the fiberglass boston brace 23hrs a day for three years in high school. My spine’s S-curve is still curved 23 degrees one way and 30 degrees the other way. So straighten that bad boy out and I should be 6’2!
  • Straight from college I began a career with the National Basketball Association and worked with them for nearly 8 years.
  • I was an Assistant Store Manager for lululemon athletica – don’t judge my wardrobe – it was an employee investment… right?
  • I don’t like chocolate and never have. Birthday parties as a child were awful with everyone having chocolate cake and brownies. Rice Krispy Treats are my absolute favorite – they will be at my wedding! My mom makes the best but I would settle for a packaged one if I had to.
  • I haven’t eaten red meat since 1997. This was a personal choice based on taste when I moved from Saskatchewan (Canada’s farmland) to Arizona. I just never went back.

Thank you for stopping by. I’d love for you to send me an email and let me know how I can help you!
